If you're new to this experience or new to readings with Linda, please read these helpful tips. The information provided is meant as a guide to prepare you for this experience. Please reach out if you have additional questions.

Try to let go of expectations of what you want to hear or think you'll hear. In general, your loved ones and guides know what you need to hear for your highest and greatest good and healing. They also know what questions you have and will usually answer them without asking. If you've visited or watched a psychic or medium before, we all work differently. You're going to get big and little details - they may seem insignificant or from childhood, yet it is important to them.
Please reconsider bringing objects that belonged to your loved ones. It's ok to wear your grandmother's necklace; however, hiding objects in hopes that they will be mentioned directly blocks the energetic flow. You will not have the best experience.
The more open you are during the session, the better the information flows.
Linda Heithaus is a certified evidential empathic medium. An empath is highly sensitive to other people’s feelings and emotions, and is highly intuitive (gut intuition). She trained and completed a spiritual development program and has since completed hundreds of hours of readings with spirit.
Linda has been able to “see” spirits her entire life, but only realized what she was seeing in 2017. Because of this innate ability, it’s very natural for Linda to see multiple spirits at every point of my day. Your loved ones come to Linda before you ever do to say hello. They are excited to communicate with you!
Loved ones come to us in the form of soul energy. There is a 3-way connection during a reading: between Linda, you, and spirit. Linda uses many different channels to download energy from spirit into detailed messages that are meaningful to you. These validate your loved ones in spirit are really here with you in the room.
Spirits also use literal and figurative symbols to communicate; coughing means lungs, an orange means California. They present information to me in a specific way that I will understand the messages, and this is why no two mediums process information the same way. The result is very specific details about your loved one; I can tell the brand of shoe they are wearing or the dish of food they show me. Their personalities also come out which is amazing! They dance, joke, smile, laugh, and love you!
Spirits validate themselves by sharing very specific details about themselves. These can be big or small details. Sometimes the small details seem insignificant, but your loved ones show these for a reason. They choose the messages being delivered.
Keeping an open mind and being open to receive whatever messages come through is very helpful. Every reading is different, just like every individual. I never know what messages spirit has for you, but in general, your loved ones know what you need in your life at this moment.

Your loved ones choose to show me details about their physical appearance, but I also ask for other details about them. If your loved ones passed at an older age, they can choose to appear at the age they felt the best, so your Grandma could “look” 45. If she passed with grey hair, she could come with her favorite hair color. This is why I ask them to “tell me all about you!” Females come with makeup and nails painted if this is what they loved when they were here in the physical world. Their personalities usually come through as well. If they loved to dance, they will dance, if they were funny, they will joke with me.
This is an interactive process, so I may have you help decipher the messages presented. For example: “how do you connect with Italy?”
In addition to seeing spirits with us, I also “see” movies playing in my head and I will describe these.
Spirits use letters and names to communicate. I can get the first letter of their name, middle, or last. Sometimes I hear full names; names can be loved ones that are still alive, they can be your children, husband etc. If a name doesn’t mean anything, we just move on. Sometimes a spirit will give me their name!
For in-person sessions, I cannot accept clients earlier than scheduled unless prior arrangements have been made with me. Before you arrive, I am connecting with my spirit team, opening my channels for receiving. If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible.
It's helpful to know your family history. You may have a grandparent who passed before you were born, your husband's family show up, or a loved one who passed 30 years ago. Most times, those spirits are coming to say hello and to let you know they love you.
A spirit can show up that didn’t get along with. Rest assured, even if your history with them isn't pleasant, you will NEVER hear anything bad from me. They usually come to say sorry. A simple "I don't wish to speak to XYZ" is enough for me to close that connection and meet with someone else. You may even have a spirit come for a friend. Once we have a good connection, you can try asking questions.
With your permission, I record all sessions. In-person session audio files are delivered It is highly suggested that you make notes, and you may audio record the session as you will receive a lot of information. Sometimes things spirits show make sense hours or days later. It may also be helpful if something doesn't make sense in the session to review it again later or ask a friend or family member. If your reading is conducted over Zoom, I will record the session (with your permission) and email you a copy of the audio. Please don't forget to download your file.
For Zoom readings, you must be in a quiet location. Any background noise (pets, children, etc) can affect my ability to channel and hear your loved ones.
Please do not consume any alcohol before your reading as this can change the energy of the space.
Even though the connection is 3-way, I always focus on spirit, as they will never show or communicate sadness. I have learned to put a bridge over grief and focus on the ubiquitous love that is everlasting.
My gift works just as beautifully over Zoom as it does in person. I can work with anyone on the planet from anywhere and yes your loved ones will come through!
A reading can be a busy place if you have multiple loved ones in spirit. Some spirits love to chat and dominate the space. If there is someone you want Linda to focus on, please let her know - this is very helpful and we can also try asking for a certain spirit.

I can try to channel a spirit very soon after passing. If your grief is strong, it is harder to make the connection, but I have done many readings where strong grief is present.
Crying is ok. It means the messages you are receiving are meaningful, and we are getting wonderful validation from your loved ones.

Refunds are not offered for no shows or cancellations less than 2 hours before our session, as I am already connecting with spirit and my guides to prepare the energy and space.
use spirit predict the future. If you have something already planned, like a trip planned to Europe, or you are getting married etc., spirit may validate this. Your loved ones are not coming to give you information about the future as it is not written yet.
give any medical advice, nor tell you how long someone has to live.
use spirit to “spy” on others. I am unable to ask spirit things like how your ex is doing.

Yes! I love channeling your pets. It is no different than channeling a loved one. Your pets come to say hello and give you healing and love regarding their passing. They are able to give me very specific details about them.
