Try to let go of expectations of what you want to hear or think you'll hear. In general, your loved ones and guides know what you need to hear for your highest and greatest good and healing. They also know what questions you have and will usually answer them without asking. If you've visited or watched a psychic or medium before, we all work differently. You're going to get big and little details - they may seem insignificant or from childhood, yet it is important to them.

Please reconsider bringing objects that belonged to your loved ones. It's ok to wear your grandmother's necklace; however, hiding objects in hopes that they will be mentioned directly blocks the energetic flow. You will not have the best experience.
